"From Ushuaia to La Quiaca"

The project From Ushuaia to Quiaca consisted in going to places where music itself is born and making the recordings on site, instead of recording in a big city studio where the musicians would be cut off from the sentiment of the original place. To achieve this, the team traveled in a 16 channel mobile recording studio compiling the music as well as the natural sounds of the provinces. Most places didn't offer access to electricity, so a portable generator was used, placed at least 200 meters away to avoid noise from being recorded. More than 2000 photographs were shot and 50 hours of video were taped to capture the highlights of the tour. |
